Wool insulation removes dust particles which may contain harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, nitrogen oxide and sulphur dioxide. No other type of insulation offers these unique capabilities. 

R-value denotes resistance to heat flow. The higher an insulation’s R-value, the greater its insulating power. Sheep wool insulation R-value equals or often surpasses that of other insulation materials.

Havelock Wool conforms to Class A of the building code for flame spread and smoke development. Wool has a high nitrogen and water content so it needs higher levels of oxygen to burn than the surrounding environment provides.

Havelock Wool is a protein-based keratin meaning it resists mold and mildew to avoid an unhealthy living environment. And wool actively manages relative humidity. The interior of the wool fiber is actually hygroscopic meaning it has a high moisture buffering capacity.

Havelock Wool insulation was also evaluated to be highly resistant to compression at >35 micron.
